Safeway (4 Stores in Colorado)
SERVICES PROVIDED: HVAC Engineering Plans (Plans submitted, but project is on hold as of March 01, 2024)
Calloway Design applied its HVAC engineering expertise to a comprehensive equipment replacement project for four Safeway stores in Colorado: Littleton, Lone Tree, Boulder, and Estes Park. Our engineers meticulously assessed existing HVAC systems to pinpoint units in need of replacement. To meet the unique demands of all the new Energy Code requirements as well as grocery store environments, we worked closely with our venders and sales representatives to engineer custom 35-ton to 45-ton rooftop units.
Despite thorough design and planning, including successful jurisdictional approvals, the project is currently on hold. Nevertheless, Calloway Design produced a detailed design package encompassing recommendations for not only the overall Sales Floor area, but the bakery and kitchen areas as well. Our collaborative efforts with Hussman (General Contractor) and Frontier Mechanical (Mechanical Contractor) ensured a streamlined approach.
